- The Training and Development Specialist will instruct, train, develop, demonstrate safe workplace practices and behaviors for a skilled and efficient utility work force working in connection with a team of training professionals.
- The key elements of this role are: •Conduct classroom presentations and hands-on field instruction and demonstration of safe work practices in electric distribution substation equipment installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting•Work with the Design and Assessment team to develop and maintain technical training materials as a subject matter expert in Substation Mechanic.
- Collaborate with the Technical Training Manager and internal subject matter experts in support of identifying training needs of the Electric Distribution clients.
- Apply training and development processes of analysis, design, development, evaluation, and alternative delivery methods, including eLearning and virtual instruction applications•Conduct hands-on training safely across multiple topics using appropriate reference manuals and other resources to instruct employees in Substation Mechanics.
- Use of tools, resources, and operation of appropriate substation equipment , safety tagging, control prints, test equipment and substation maintenance and inspection.
