- This position works at the direction of and in support to the ChiefHealth Officer (CHO) in collaboration with Behavioral Health Services (PMHNP Program supervisor andOUDBehavioral Health Care Manager).
- This includes offering individual training and shadowing opportunities for providers and registered nurses, as well as clinic and organization-wide education on topics surrounding opioid and other substance use disorders.
- Collaborate with patients, clients, staff, and community partners to identify and address the ways that systemic racism and other forms of compounding bias are root causes of disparities in clinical/mental health and homelessness in Black, Indigenous, and other communities of color and other communities that have experienced historical and structural oppression.
- Train and support MDs/DOs/ARNPs/PAs in the care of patients with opioid use disorder and in actively prescribing this medication to appropriate patients.
- Act as a case consultant by responding to questions from clinical staff via Epic and email on opioid use disorder-related topics.
