If you're interested in becoming a critical part of an innovative company, you might be the full-time Staff Accountant Robert Half is looking for. Candidates will need to be capable of rising to a variety of challenges while juggling multiple components of a fast-paced environment. To succeed in this Staff Accountant role, you will need to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. In this role, you will perform internal reporting during the monthly close, participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes. Located in the Salt Lake City, Utah area, this position is a challenging, multi-faceted opportunity to work for a company that recognizes and rewards hard work. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented and analytical thinker with a talent for creating Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets.

Take part in various department-wide initiatives

Upon request, take part in special projects and impromptu reporting
</li>
<li>
Compose journal entries and conduct the month end close with minimal supervision
</li>
<li>
Coordinate and analyze a variety of financial data, then report it in a way that is useful and understandable
</li>
<li>
Arrange schedules for capital lease and monthly payments
</li>
<li>
Prepare monthly financial close workbooks to support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process
</li>
<li>
Prepare analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management to report on
</li>
<li>
Assemble journal entries and thorough account reconciliations that include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
</li>
<li>
Contribute to the implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
</li>
<li>
In-depth knowledge of reconciling month end balance sheet accounts
</li>
<li>
Periodic maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries
</li>
<li>
Maintain intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation
</li>
<li>
Maintain depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliations 
</li>
</ul>
Requirements - Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP)
<ul>
<li>
Microsoft Excel experience
</li>
<li>
Demonstrated knowledge of US GAAP
</li>
<li>
Adeptness in Credit Card Reconciliation
</li>
<li>
Account reconciliation experience highly desired
</li>
<li>
General ledger experience
</li>
<li>
Accounts Receivable (AR) experience preferred
</li>
<li>
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
</li>
<li>
Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
</li>
<li>
Strong attention to detail
</li>
<li>
Efficient in ERP systems
</li>
<li>
Recent and relevant accounting experience
</li>
<li>
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
</li>
<li>
Mature organizational, written and verbal communication skills
</li>
<li>
Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
</li>
<li>
Competent with spreadsheets and databases
</li>
<li>
Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines
</li>
<li>
Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
