The team The Marketing team is responsible for helping acquire and convert prospects, bringing products to market, and sustaining success across the product lifecycle. Our team mission is to define, differentiate, and communicate the value of our products across segments and personas, connecting the dots between client needs and Route solutions. This role reports to our head of marketing. The opportunity Route is looking for a customer-minded, metrics-driven Sr. Manager of Demand Generation to own the scaling of our demand generation engine, from top-of-funnel all the way through to revenue realization. The ideal candidate will have "grown up" in marketing as a demand generation person, especially in the areas of digital marketing and account-based marketing (ABM). You’ll be the go-to head of demand generation, starting as a team of one, and will partner with the rest of Marketing and Sales to flesh out our instrumentation and hit pipeline and revenue goals through compelling inbound initiatives. Candidates must have prior B2B demand generation experience, ideally across businesses of different sizes (e.g., SMB, mid-market, and enterprise) with an appreciation for how strategy and tactics for each segment vary. Prior ecommerce experience is preferred. What You’ll Do Own channels to drive results <ul><li>Build and execute multi-channel demand gen strategies to drive measurable growth across all traditional demand gen channels that you deem strategically relevant: paid search, paid social, retargeting, email, live events, webinars, content syndication, web, etc.</li><li>Own diversified channel strategy</li><li>Own experimentation and optimization </li></ul>Develop strategies to generate and progress pipeline <ul><li>Build account-based marketing (ABM) strategies to move larger deals through the pipeline.</li><li>Architect and develop nurture campaigns (via email, retargeting, and other relevant channels).</li><li>Create smart, impactful, and persona-relevant campaigns across the buyer journey. </li></ul>Lead cross-functional teams to ensure success of Demand Gen initiatives <ul><li>Partner with Sales to build a demand generation plan that engages and nurtures target accounts and supports pipeline and revenue objectives.</li><li>Implement processes with Sales leadership to ensure feedback loops exist to monitor and optimize lead/account quality.</li><li>Create an environment that fosters successful cross-department collaboration.</li><li>Stay up to speed on current demand generation innovations, and educate stakeholders as needed on those trends. </li></ul>Be the business owner for ROI <ul><li>Own budget - build business cases for incremental budget asks.</li><li>Own forecasting and present regularly to Marketing, Sales, and Finance stakeholders.</li><li>Define KPIs and dashboards to measure, optimize, and focus demand generation activities. Review and report on them regularly.</li><li>Establish funnel discipline through solid reporting and/or dashboards, pipeline reviews, and a solid grasp on marketing tech stacks and attribution models. </li></ul>What We’re Looking For <ul><li>7-10+ years of marketing and/or demand generation experience preferably in B2B SaaS</li><li>Performance oriented: Proven record of meeting or exceeding pipeline and revenue targets in a high-growth setting</li><li>Analytical (Data-driven): Partner with Marketing Ops to create and analyze performance, create campaign reports and dashboards, and provide actionable recommendations to achieve key metrics</li><li>Paid digital expertise: Experience optimizing spend across various paid channels (e.g., Google, LinkedIn)</li><li>Audience understanding: Strive to deeply understand the target audience and create programs that resonate</li><li>Inquisitive and proactive: Embody a test and learn mentality with A/B testing experience to optimize campaigns and landing pages, and a hunger to leverage the latest technology and tactics to drive growth</li><li>Excellent communicator and writer: Clearly convey complex ideas and data in written, presentation, and verbal formats to executives and team members (there will be ad and email copywriting expected for this position). Pay Transparency Salary for this role: $168,000 - $183,000 The cash compensation above includes base salary, and is not reflective of potential commission for employees in eligible roles, or annual bonus targets under Route’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, all Route employees are eligible to participate in Routes equity incentive plan to receive stock options per the terms of the agreement. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including their career level, skills, experience, specific geographic location qualifications and other job-related reasons.
