- POSITION GOALTo apply the principles, practice and methods related to the identification and treatment of communication disorders to the development and implementation of speech-language therapy programs for students.
- ESSENTIAL PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES The Speech-Language Pathologist shall carry out the performance responsibilities listed below:Use standardized screening tests and other methods to identify students with potential speech and language disorders.
- Use diagnostic information as well as other educationally relevant information to develop an individual education plan (iep) and recommend speech and language therapy servicesProvide an array of speech and language therapy services to students based on their individual needs.
- Select, use and maintain materials, equipment or supplies needed to provide a speech and language therapy program.
- Direct the activities of speech-language assistants to implement specified program services.
