- The School Nurse is an essential role to our schools and will oversee the emotional, mental, physical, and social health of students and maintain a safe and healthy environment.
- Possess a valid Colorado Professional Special Services Provider License with endorsement as a School Nurse.
- Possess a current certificate for Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and be able to renew it as required.
- Have a National School Nurse Certification, which is highly desired.
- If you do NOT have a BSN, you must have three (3) or more years of licensed, practical experience as an RN with school-aged children in order for the district to sign off on a temporary license AND at the time of hire, you must be able to show proof of enrollment in a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing program and agree to finish the program during the next three years, during your probationary period with CDE. (This includes any agency nurses hired).
