- A research specialist B/C is needed to carry out an array of basic laboratory techniques to study the role of microglia and the immune system in brain aging and neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer's disease.
- The work will involve cutting-edge molecular biology techniques, particularly in vivo CRISPR KO screens in mouse models aging and neurodegenerative and in iPSC derived microglia and neurons.
- This work will also entail advanced sequencing techniques to measure transcriptomic and epigenetic changes in vitro and in vivo, cellular function assays with live microscopy and flow cytometry and biochemical assays.
- Tasks will include human and mouse cell culture, DNA/RNA purification, PCR, sequencing library preparation, mouse colony maintenance, and mouse tissue harvesting.
