- The Knight Campus will reshape the higher education landscape in Oregon by training the next generations of scientists, forging tighter ties with industry and entrepreneurs, and creating new educational opportunities for graduate and undergraduate students.
- In particular, we are focusing on two avenues: synthetic hydrogels with tunable degradation and mechanical properties as a synthetic extracellular matrix analogue for the culture and delivery of cells for regenerative medicine approaches and polymers formed using reversible-addition fragmentation chain transfer polymerization (RAFT), a controlled, living polymerization strategy, designed with drug delivery applications in mind.
- The Research Assistant/Associate works closely with Professor Danielle Benoit to design and implement lab research and assessment, seek and obtain external support for research activities, and publish results.
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, bioengineering, or related fields
- Terminal degree in bioengineering, human physiology, biology, or related field
