- This is clinical work in the application of prescribed courses of radiation therapy.
- Performance is reviewed by the Supervising Radiation Therapist (with physician feedback) through adherence to treatment prescriptions.
- Education: Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, physics, chemistry, radiation safety as well as radiation therapy procedures, techniques, and equipment and safety and health precautions at a level generally acquired through completion of an approved 2 year program in Radiation Therapy Technology.
- License/Certifications: Completion of an accredited program in Radiation Therapy and registration through A.R.R.T. and licensure by the State of Maine (September 1984).
- Experience: Knowledge of department policies and procedures as well as proficiency in performing radiation therapy treatments at a level generally acquired during three to six months on-the-job training and experience.
