- The Space Science and Applications Group (ISR-1) at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) is looking for a postdoctoral researcher to assist with efforts related to the study of radiation detection and transport.
- Developing a charged particle detection instrument for a NASA crewed missions, and
- For both projects laboratory work will be a primary responsibility, but simulation experience with common Monte Carlo frameworks like Geant4 or MCNP are highly desirable.
- Ph. D. in physics, nuclear engineering, or a closely related field by the beginning of the postdoctoral appointment, obtained no earlier than April 2019.
- Experience with Monte Carlo modelling and simulation (e.g., MCNP, GEANT4)
