- The Public Safety Chief and Director of Emergency Management is responsible for the management of and the overall day-to-day operation of the campus public safety department, pro-actively providing vision, leadership and hands-on supervision for all staff ensuring that high quality campus safety and security services are being offered.
- Reporting to both the Vice President of Finance and Administration and the Senior Associate Vice President of Facilities, Public Safety, and Emergency Management, this position is expected to be an effective communicator and will have overall responsibility for all emergency preparedness and emergency operational systems, procedures, and policies for the campus.
- Coordinate law enforcement and security efforts with residence hall staff to promote personal security and safety.
- Position requires a minimum of five (5) years of progressive management experience at the rank of lieutenant or above, or equivalent, in a law enforcement/public safety department and the graduation from a state certified law enforcement academy or FBI National Academy, five (5) years of Emergency Management experience.
