- All C&PS services are provided and designed to promote academic excellence and retention at SDSU. Counseling & Psychological Services provides, either directly or through collaboration and referral, a variety of counseling services, (e.g., individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, short-term psychotherapy), assessment and evaluation, faculty and staff consultation, and professional training/supervision, consistent with the educational mission of the university.
- Under the direction of the Associate Director of Counseling & Psychological Services, the Psychiatric Crisis Assessment Support Team Clinician will act as a liaison to diverse and vulnerable populations to promote safety and prevent crime through community engagement and trust-building.
- This position is part of a two-year pilot project housed directly within SDSU UPD.
- Standard SDSU work hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but hours for this position may vary based on operational needs.
- Possess a license-eligible doctorate in psychology, counseling, behavioral sciences, or a related academic field, or a California license to independently practice as a Psychologist, Marriage & Family Therapist, Clinical Social Worker, or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor.
