- Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative (SMECO) has an immediate opening for a Program Management Office (PMO) Director in our Strategy & Innovation Services division.
- The primary functions of this position are being responsible for leadership and management of the PMO processes and functions, including coordination of the project portfolio and governance practices.
- Utilizing various methods and best practices for the project management of strategic initiatives across the Cooperative, tracking and reporting the conformance to plans and expectations of all strategic initiatives.
- The PMO Director is also responsible for supporting and enabling the organizations projects, programs and structured work efforts as well as, ensuring that the work of the PMO adds value, advances the enterprise strategy, and meets the goals set for the Cooperative by the executive team.
- The PMO Director may also manage projects, on a limited basis, on behalf of other business units in need of the formal tools and techniques of project management.
