As a Principal Strategist , you will join a highly entrepreneurial team and develop growth initiatives for the Roundel business. You will be expected to understand retail and media trends, competitors, and guests to develop new concepts and formats that meet future needs in the ever- and fast-evolving, multi-channel media and retail landscape. You’ll also oversee and drive the execution of numerous strategy projects to ensure quality of design, problem solving, execution, synthesis, and communication of results. About You: 7+ years of work experience in corporate strategy leadership roles including assessing business strategies, leading advanced analysis and problem solving, and developing multi-year business strategies or 4+ years of prior experience in dedicated engagement/project leadership experience with a consulting firm. 10+ years of total professional experience with growing levels of responsibility; proven track record of leading transformational change Prior experience in engagement/project leadership with a top management or innovation consulting firm or in a Fortune 100-level corporate strategy group Prior experience working in the Media industry across domains such as advertising, technology, strategy development, M&A, or strategic partnerships Leverages a highly structured approach to problem solving, while leaving space for creative solutions, with a bias for action Strong ability to navigate ambiguity including the ability to translate concepts into concrete ideas and actionable opportunities Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, while staying focused on the big picture Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong presence in front of senior executives; ability to synthesize vast amounts of information into the most important insights Excellent collaboration and leadership skills – setting the right tone and culture to lead and influence cross-functional teams, with and without direct authority, to deliver the best outcomes for the business This position may be considered for a Remote or Hybrid (known internally at Target as "Flex for Your Day") work arrangement based on Target's needs.  A Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that's not a Target location, does not have a desk at a Target location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year.  A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member's core role may be performed either remote or onsite at a Target location depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
