This position may be full-time 100% FTE (40 hours/week) or part-time 60% FTE (24 hours/week), but will consist of a daily schedule of patients from 8:00-5:00pm. The mission of the school is to train physicians and other healthcare professionals in primary care and service to rural and underserved populations in Georgia.This position is expected to maintain a financially viable primary care clinical practice, as part of a team of primary care physicians, at the Mercer Medicine Macon facility. This is a 12-month non-tenure track faculty position and will report to the Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director of the Physician Practice Plan, as well as the Managing Partner of Mercer Medicine on a clinical basis.Qualifications :Candidates must:Hold an M.D. degree and be board certified (or board eligible) in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine, and be licensed to practice medicine in the state of Georgia. The candidate must also demonstrate strong experience in working in interdisciplinary healthcare education and clinical settings. The ideal candidate will have:Experience in a health-related clinical area is desirable.
