- Is responsible for the accurate computer entry and processing of prescriptions, preparing unit dose medications, and non-sterile bulk compounding.
- Job duties also include inventory control, care of supplies and equipment, accurate cash handling, customer service, both in person and over the telephone, and the resolution of customer service issues.
- Assists the pharmacist in all aspects of the daily departmental activities, including training of new staff and pharmacy students, billing, record keeping and other clerical functions, monthly audits, and other duties as assigned by the pharmacist.
- Previous experience as a pharmacy technician with maintenance of continuous registration as a pharmacy technician with the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy dating back prior to January 1st 2013.
- Earns, through employer-based training program, and maintains Certification as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) within 2 years of hire;
