- Parent Support Services provides mental health treatment, support, and case management to Ventura County parents receiving either Family Reunification or Family Preservation services.
- Therapeutic services will support parents to navigate their own historical trauma, substance use, and/or domestic violence experiences that impact healthy family functioning and preserve the family unit (permanency).
- Under the direction of the Regional Director of Ventura County, the Peer Partner is responsible for providing specialized support for parents involved in the child welfare system who may be struggling with substance abuse disorders, and or domestic violence.
- This role is also responsible for providing and implementing the peer support and case management component of the overall treatment plan and will manage cases of assigned clients within the program.
- Acts as liaison with placement agencies and community services and works closely with mental health and child protective services, as well as law enforcement agencies, employers, health and welfare, and recreation agencies to provide coordinated care.
