- Develops Air Force concept of operations (CONOPS) for medical plans, force health protection and OEH surveillance and risk assessment for inclusion in AF multi-functional doctrine, policies, plans, concept of operations and instructions.
- Review and assess Environmental Protection Agency, Occupational Safety and Health Agency, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Institute for Safety and Occupational Health, The Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR), and the National Academy of Science, proposed regulations, regulatory guides, notices and bulletins for impact/relevance to DAF operations.
- Review reports, standards and commentary from American National Standards Institute, American Industrial Hygiene Association, American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienist, Unified Federal Code, American Society for Testing and Materials, and other organizations for impact/relevance to DAF operations.
- Support the Air Force Medical Service and OEH Program Initiatives by preparing draft advocacy documentation for additional program procurement and operations funding
