- The Infection Preventionist for Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) is responsible for the day-to-day implementation of the Infection Prevention functions of MGH IC, one of the site teams of MGB Infection Control.
- The Infection Preventionist, reporting to the MGH Director of Infection Control, must have knowledge and experience in infection prevention and control principles and practice, the ability to make evidence-based decisions, excellent problem-solving skills, and excellent written and oral communication skills.
- MGB is in an active change management environment and the Infection Preventionist will need to demonstrate flexibility and open mindedness as the contours of this position will actively evolve over time.
- Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred upon hire; if not CIC at hire, must be prepared to sit for CIC within 2 years of hire.
