- The instructor will be an advocate for access to higher education, particularly for first-generation and immigrant students.
- The School of Humanities and Social Sciences offers a distinctive Associate of Fine Arts degree program with options in Studio and Computer Art. Throughout their time at HCCC, Fine Arts students participate in many opportunities offered through the Department of Cultural Affairs.
- HCCC's Fine Arts faculty exhibit their work nationally and internationally and have received awards from The New Jersey State Council on the Arts Fellowship and the Guggenheim Fellowship and ACCT Northeast Faculty Member Award.
- The Hudson County Workforce Leadership Academy was funded through a combination of public and private donors that included JPMorgan Chase, The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation, The W.K. Kellogg Foundation, the County of Hudson, the LeFrak Family, and Mack-Cali.
- Under the supervision of the Dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, the Instructor of English is responsible for teaching 15 credits per semester of day, evening, and weekend classes in Composition, Reading and Writing and related courses.
