Why the Children's Home? <ul> <li>Competitive insurance plans, including health, dental, vision, life insurances, and more</li> <li>Work life balance, including flexible scheduling, generous paid time off plans and ten paid holidays per year</li> <li>Retirement benefits with up to a 5% contribution match</li> <li>Educational tuition reimbursement and certification incentives</li> <li>Incredible training opportunities</li> <li>Discounted tuition rates to our onsite Montessori school</li></ul> What You Need <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree, preferred</li> <li>CFRE, preferred</li> <li>Minimum of three years of related experience in a similar position that includes relationship building and writing assignments</li> <li>Broad based Prospect Research experience is a plus.</li></ul> Essential Duties and Responsibilities <ul> <li>Work with the Chief Development Officer</li> <li>Maintain a thorough research program to determine the giving patterns of local, regional and national foundations and corporations.</li> <li>Develop an active list of contacts in order to interact with external sources for the procurement of gifts and grants.</li> <li>Research, cultivate and solicit proposals in annual development plan which will support department and organizational goals.</li> <li>Schedule visits with funders as appropriate to cultivate and steward Foundation and Corporate relationships.</li> <li>Write complex, high-quality documents such as solicitation proposals, grant applications, technical reports, and communication materials.</li> <li>Maintain active Road Map that will accurately reflect status of grants and corporate giving program.</li> <li>Maintain records in Raiser's Edge, including those used to record donor engagements, track contributions, and maintain accurate mailing lists in appropriate electronic formats.</li> <li>Coordinate the proposal process to include arrangement of meetings, drafting preliminary inquiries, development of timetables, and review of proposals and assurance of interdepartmental coordination.</li> <li>Keep abreast of federal and state legislation, which would have a direct or indirect bearing on the preparation of proposals.</li> <li>Assist in the preparation of proposals and other projects to non-foundation or corporation projects as requested.</li></ul> EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY The Florida United Methodist Children's Home is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
