- The DAA works with colleagues from the nineteen campuses located across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania reporting to the Vice President for Commonwealth Campuses, and the Dean of University College, and colleges and departments at the University Park campus to ensure that Penn State operates as one university, geographically dispersed.
- The DAA is responsible for administering all budgets for academic programs, faculty development, and academic support services; supporting continuing education opportunities and marketing strategies for University degree programs; supervising academic units; and supporting and fostering diversity.
- With over 600 students, the campus offers the advantages of a small college; students build strong relationships with faculty and staff and are involved in clubs, research, community service, and intercollegiate athletics.
- Penn State Schuylkill is located in scenic Schuylkill County with a low cost of living, abundant outdoor recreational opportunities, and easy access to Philadelphia, New York City, and Washington, D.C. Closer medium and smaller cities include Hazleton, Lebanon, and Reading—each 30 miles away, with Allentown and Harrisburg being 40 and 50 miles from campus respectively.
