- The Clinical Dietitian is responsible for the nutrition screening, assessment, monitoring, evaluation, and education of Carle patients through an integrated approach to nutrition care.
- PROVIDES COMPREHENSIVE NUTRITION CARE OF PATIENTS ACCORDING TO POLICIES & PROCEDURES Responsible for nutritional assessment completions 100% per policy Meets charting guidelines 100% of the time determined by chart audits Provides quality medical nutrition therapy as appropriate on patient care units including necessary follows and in accordance with facility policy Performs nutrition focus physical exams as medically appropriate for the diagnosis of malnutrition.
- ACTIVELY PROVIDES NUTRITION SUPPORT THROUGH ASSESSMENT, DEVELOPMENT OF A NUTRITION CARE PLAN, IMPLEMENTATION OF NUTRITION CARE PLAN, AND MONITORING OF NUTRITION THERAPY Works with other Nutritional Services Team members to provide nutrition therapy in a timely manner.
- Must participate in a required rotation for weekend and holiday coverage Writes and manages TPN and PN including, labs orders and review with pharmacological recommendation and follow up as necessary Writes and manages enteral nutrition as necessary with follow ups as needed Participates and presents in rounds, education seminars, Journal Club, team meetings, etc.
- to gain knowledge in Nutrition Support and medical nutrition therapy as evidenced in personal portfolio Is able to accurately document assessment and MNT in the patient EMR and menu management program.
