- The Child Advocacy Team is comprised of child abuse pediatricians, a nurse practitioner, a medical assistant, forensic nurses, social workers, and an office coordinator.
- The team provides medical and psychosocial assessment for children and adolescents who may be victims of sexual abuse, physical abuse, neglect, human trafficking, or who may have been exposed to domestic or intimate partner violence.
- The Division works with a total of five child advocacy centers (CAC) and their respective multidisciplinary teams (Children’s Services, Law Enforcement, Prosecutor’s Office, etc.)
- at each CAC to ensure collaboration across all community partners for the benefit of patients and families.
- These CACs are in Greene County (Michael’s House in Fairborn), Warren County (WCCAC in Lebanon), Montgomery County (Care House in Dayton), Clark County (CCCAC in Springfield), and Miami County (CAC at Isaiah’s Place in Troy).
