- The Chemist I will prepare chemical solutions and operate analytical instrumentation and test fixtures.
- They will perform setup and takedown of laboratory for each unique test, as well as clean-up following test, including proper decontamination and disposal of hazardous waste.
- The Chemist I will be responsible to perform work on tests involving Chemical Warfare Agents (CWA), Toxic Industrial Chemicals, Toxic Industrial Materials, or simulants of CWAs. They can expect to both work with a test team and alone on projects as assigned.
- They will generate documentation using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and MS Visio.
- The Chemist I must have a Baccalaureate degree in chemistry (or equivalent training and have one (1) year of experience with direct government or contractor supporting government laboratory operations contracts), other physical science, or engineering, and a minimum of one (1) years of laboratory experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
