- It is the responsibility of the Hemodialysis Technician to provide direct and indirect patient and technical services under the supervision of a Registered Nurse in the dialysis unit.
- The Hemodialysis Technician is also responsible to transport patients, assist the Registered Nurse(s), and perform clerical duties as assigned.
- The incumbent is guided by knowledge and training in the techniques of hemodialysis and by verbal and/or written instruction.
- Sets up and operates the hemodialysis machine under the supervision of the RN
