- You will also be responsible for the accurate and efficient weekly and bi-weekly processing of all events related to benefits – including assisting with the day-day questions and processing of both hourly and salaried employees who have questions, issues, or changes, as well as making adjustments to plans/new hire enrollments.
- Lead 401k plan administration to ensure correct plans are in place and in compliance / in accordance with plan documents, annual audit and non-discrimination testing, approval of plan transactions (loans, distributions), ensuring accurate payroll deductions, timely contribution funding, QDRO administration, employee status changes, SPD updates, distribution of compliance notices.
- Coordinate annual Open Enrollment (OE), lead broker reviews, provide input on benefit plans, develop and distribute employee communications, system set-up for ADP employee self-service, facilitate OE meetings, perform benefit deduction audits, and close.
- Administer employee benefit plans: medical, dental, vision, life, FSA and disability insurance to include ensuring timely system updates for personnel changes, qualifying events, distribution of plan notices, processing claims, disability appeals, 3rd party sick pay and compliance testing.
- Assures benefits are in compliance with the provisions of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) and that appropriate reports (forms 5500) are filed timely with the Internal Revenue Service and annual retirement audits are completed timely; assures compliance with Department of Labor requirements and prepares responses to plan audits if necessary.
