- This Assistant Attorney General will engage in investigations and litigation to protect the rights of Tennessee consumers against everything from small-time scam artists to misconduct by the most powerful corporations in the world.
- Tennessee is a national leader in consumer protection and attorneys in the Division enjoy significant responsibility and numerous opportunities to work on high-profile and meaningful cases enforcing state and federal consumer protection and antitrust laws.
- The Division engages in the full range of consumer protection, including data privacy, deceptive advertising, antitrust, advertising substantiation, financial disclosures, government imposters, and price gouging, among others.
- The Division works closely with consumer protection enforcers from other states and the federal government on matters of regional or national impact – including, most recently, serving in the leadership of the national opioids settlement negotiations, holding Meta accountable for the mental health harms its Instagram platform causes to young users, as well as antitrust suits against Google and Apple.
- AAGs participate in all phases of consumer protection investigations and litigation.
