- Over 37 million people pass through Washington Union Station (WUS) each year, making it one of the busiest intermodal transportation centers in North America.
- Amtrak and its partners are undertaking a comprehensive improvement initiative comprised of multiple projects to increase capacity, enhance safety/security and improve railroad infrastructure at WUS.Under the direction of the Director Portfolio Management, WUS, the Architectural Project Manage/Design Manager will function as the design executive and subject matter expert for Amtrak's WUS portfolio.
- Analyze and review change orders, prepare cost estimates, prepare backup justification for submission to Procurement/ Contracts or for negotiations with contractor and/or GEC.
- These solicitations may include Design Build (DB), Progressive Design-Build (PDB); Design-Bid-Build (DBB); Construction Manager-at-Risk (CMAR); and Public-Private Partnership (P3) forms of project design, build, delivery and operations.
- Prioritize safety and security, sustainability, resiliency and customer experience.
