- Attend all meetings, ceremonies and official functions as specified by the Chief Academic Officer, Chief Community College Officer and/or Dean.
- Meet with the Dean or Department Chair/Division Director as needed to discuss all aspects of the course including student progress and curriculum development (may be required to provide input into program development).
- The incumbent must have an Associates degree in Mortuary Science from an ABFSE accredited program and a Bachelor's or higher degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
- Candidates having AA degree and a Bachelor's degree should have experience working in the funeral industry.
- To teach the embalming courses candidates must hold a valid license that entitles them to practice embalming in the District of Columbia, plus have had sufficient training and at least one year of experience as an embalmer.
