- Description"> DOMESTIC VIOLENCE YOUTH ADVOCATEThe Domestic Violence Youth Advocate position will be responsible for providing culturally specific and responsive relationship-based, trauma-informed services to youth experiencing or witnessing domestic violence and/or sexual assault in a way that is compassionate and effective and adheres to culturally specific practices and services.
- Conduct trauma-informed support groups and activities tailored to the experiences of African American youth.
- Coordinate with SEI Youth Services to strengthen education and services on domestic, sexual violence, dating violence and stalking.
- Collaborate with the Rape Prevention Education Advocate (RPE) to facilitate prevention programming & curriculum.
- Provide linkages/referrals/warm hand-offs to housing and/or DV shelter programs; employment/educational services; medical, mental health, and alcohol/drug screening, and advocacy for treatment and counseling; resources for financial empowerment, financial literacy, and/or other culturally/population specific assistance or programs.
