- The Director of Advocacy will lead a small team of professionals that informs domestic and foreign policymakers on religious freedom issues – through comprehensive reports, expertise on key regions, in-country visits, tours on Capitol Hill, and more.
- The Director of Advocacy will spearhead and collaborate with other members of the ICC team to affect change – such as advocating for Christians unjustly imprisoned by foreign governments or connecting members of Capitol Hill with survivors of persecution.
- Serve as ICC’s primary representative and spokesperson on policy and Advocacy-related issues.
- Maintain strong, working relationships with key officials in the U.S. government and on Capitol Hill, embassies, and NGO (Non-Governmental Organization) community; work closely with counterparts at the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF), U.S. Dept. of State, embassies, and peer organizations.
- Conduct overseas trips to areas of particular concern; coordinate visits from overseas dignitaries and survivors of Christian persecution for tours on Capitol Hill.
