- Description Chief Audience Officer New York Public Radio (NYPR), home to WNYC, Gothamist, WQXR, WNYC Studios and The Jerome L. Greene Performance Space, is seeking an exceptional, results-oriented Chief Audience Officer (CAO) to lead the strategy and execution for NYPR’s audience development, product and platform development, brand management, and audience and market intelligence.
- In partnership with the other senior leaders, the CAO will be responsible for building sustainable growth and loyalty across NYPR’s broadcast signals, podcasts, websites, newsletters, live events and social channels, helping position the organization at the forefront of New York’s media ecosystem and the public radio network as a whole.
- The CAO is the primary architect of the audience journey across NYPR’s many properties through a wide and growing range of established and evolving platforms.
- They will provide vision and leadership to teams charged with developing, implementing and measuring strategies around audience development and audience intelligence, brand, marketing, media and public relations, as well as the design, testing, development and ongoing support of NYPR’s suite of digital platforms, products and tools.
- They will be a proven leader with strategic thinking abilities, strong management skills, demonstrated success in developing and executing marketing and audience development initiatives with a collaborative approach, and the personal integrity, agility and drive to motivate others and to mentor and rally teams to achieve exceptional results.
