Department Overview The Cloud Infrastructure Engineering team is responsible for the development and operations of critical cloud infrastructure and platform services, in support of Motorola Solutions' public and hybrid cloud-based Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions for public safety customers.

The FST Co-Op will work closely with Motorola Solutions Public Safety Customers and Subcontractor (MSS) community, as well as, Motorola Solutions Sales, Engineering, Project Management, and Customer Service teams.

The FST Co-Op will deliver a unique combination of both multi-site RF communications systems and computer/networking skills to the Public Safety customers in the Mid-Atlantic area. The Field Service Technician Co-Op will support the Mid-Atlantic Motorola Solutions Center located in Winchester, VA. This role provides a direct, hands on opportunity to work with skilled, trained technical leaders in the organization.

3+ years experience in one of the following: LMR, RF Systems, Radio Communications, Radio Frequency, Wired/Wireless Communication Systems, Military, Motorola equipment, IT Systems, Telecommunications, Public Safety, Engineering or Networking equipment.

Observe and report incidents or suspicious activity to the Cincinnati Reds Public Safety Director as appropriate for the circumstances. May be required to appear and testify in court for any criminal or civil investigations related to your duties as a public safety officer.

Public Safety/Protective Services and/or Fire Protection background; i.e., police officer, firefighter, corrections officer, probation officer, etc. Valid Michigan Department of Education CTE Teacher Certification with Public Safety/Protective Services 43.0100 endorsement; or.

Under general supervision of designated supervisor, will plan, organize and coordinate assigned daily shift operations, supervise operations of assigned activities & personnel and perform law enforcement work concerned with protecting the lives and property of the public; crime prevention; and conduct community relations and educational programs/activities.

Provide information and education about public safety programs such as: CPR training, firearm safety, crime prevention, Community Police Academy, pet licensing, Neighborhood Watch, National Night Out, fire prevention, smoke and CO2 detector best practices, emergency preparedness, and CERT (Community Emergency Response Team.

The FST Co-Op will deliver a unique combination of both multi-site RF communications systems and computer/networking skills to the Public Safety customers in the Northeastern region. This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customers.
