Have contact with plant managers, owners and others to explain legal and regulatory requirements, discuss operation of the plant's SSOP, HACCP plan and other food safety programs.

Work with Management Team and Employees to instill a genuine culture of safety awareness and responsibility across the organization. This individual will coordinate the safety and health efforts within the Florida Crystals Corporation Various Agricultural and/or Industrial Locations, working closely with corporate and field personnel to maximize overall efficiency and effectiveness of the safety and health efforts.

The Office of Environment, Health and Safety Department provides technical support and services for UCSF and UCSF Medical Center in the following specialties: hazardous materials management, environmental compliance, ergonomics, fire and life safety, radiation safety, chemical safety, biological safety, laboratory safety, industrial hygiene, food facility safety, controlled substance and others.

The Sanitation Manager will oversee and develop the sanitation department to ensure compliance with all company and regulatory product quality standards, sanitation standards, food safety standards, employee safety and environmental standards, and enforces GMP's and implements HACCP processes and procedures.

Environmental, Health & Safety (Plant based, requires relocation for the second year): This plant level role will focus on supporting the EHS Manager to mitigate site safety risks.

Experience may have been acquired in work such as consumer safety inspector or inspection aide, food inspector, public health inspector, quality inspection specialist, or similar position with responsibility for sampling, quality control and sanitation in a food manufacturing or production environment, or similar environment for other ingestible items.

Specific responsibilities include Quality Systems, FSMA, HACCP, GFSI/BRC, regulatory audits, food safety training, Regulatory Affairs, Plant Quality Assurance, Vendor Compliance, and Consumer Affairs.

5-10 years meat and/or seafood industry (as appropriate) FSQA Management experience at a federal CFIA/FDA meat and/or seafood processing plant (as appropriate) acceptable instead of a degree.

Strong background in process and packaging equipment for the food industry and/or plant facility engineering and maintenance including building construction and components, building utilities, mechanical and electrical systems, ammonia refrigeration systems, electrical controls systems, computer applications, facility support equipment, and water and wastewater systems.

Specialized experience includes: In addition to the qualifications above, working with the Federal Meat, Poultry, and Egg Products Inspection Acts in order to inspect meat, poultry and egg products; working with basic SSOP and HACCP principles and practices in order to verify plant HAACP and SSOP responsibilities; performing basic mathematics and elementary statistical concepts and methods to perform testing and sampling procedures; and experience in reaching and interpreting conclusions.

Knowledge of related plant operational practices such as Process Safety Management, mechanical integrity, and reliability engineering. Provide pressure vessel and fixed equipment mechanical engineering consulting services to Chemours global chemical businesses, including technical support to plant operations and capital projects.

Knowledge of cogeneration plant safety procedure, especially in areas such as chemical handling, high energy systems, confined spaces, fire suppression, first aid, rotating machinery, heavy equipment, etc.

Specialized experience includes: experience gained under close supervision that provided you with knowledge of the properties and characteristics of regulated food commodities and substances; such as: meat, poultry, fish, eggs, or other food for human consumption, and other ingestible substances, such as pharmaceuticals.

The Quality Assurance (QA) Supervisor is responsible for maintaining Food Safety and Quality Assurance Management Systems to support manufacturing of wholesome and quality food.

The Safety Coordinator will assist H/S manager and Fire Chief to oversee the Emergency Response Team (ERT) and equipment, and the day-to-day inspection and maintenance of the plant fire protection systems.
