OR-90 Semester hours from an accredited institution that include the following: 16 semester hours of Biology courses, 16 Semester ours of chemistry [must include atleast 6 hours of inorganic Chemistry], and 3 Semester hours of Math- along with having completed an accredited Clinical Laboratory training program or 1 year of documented Clinical Laboratory Training, or experience in the specialty that testing is to be performed.

Proficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systems is a plus. Such training must be equivalent to that received in a school of Medical Technology. OR-Associates Degree in Medical Technology.

ASCP or AMT is NOT required but preferred. UA etc] is acceptable but will be supporting Hematology lab dept. Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures. Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.

Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipmentAbility to work independently and within a team environment. Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.

Knowledge in ELISA testing a plus. High level of attention detail along with strong communication and organizational skills. Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures.

Temp to hire: could be a temp to hire if a permanent position is open and the candidate in good standing. Training time may differ from listed shifts depending on the start time of the trainer. Report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care.
