Trademark Docketing Specialist

Munck Wilson Mandala is looking to add an IP/Trademark Docketing Specialist to support its Dallas office. This position may be based in our Dallas or Houston offices. Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of law firm intellectual property docketing experience supporting a trademark and copyright practice, but we are also open to entry level and will train. The specialist will handle foreign and domestic docketing through independent date calculation and proficient use of WebTMS, the firm's computerized trademark docketing database. Duties include, but are not limited to: Review, process and docket all communications and correspondence pertaining to foreign and domestic trademark and copyright prosecution. Docketing and record management including, but not limited to, creating new records, entering relevant dates and information, creating/closing tasks, and maintaining/verifying/auditing existing records. Coordinate and communicate with attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants to ensure dockets are current and accurate. Generate various reports as required utilizing docketing database. Qualifications: Knowledge and utilization of US and Foreign Trademark databases including, but not limited to USPTO, TSDR and TTAB, Madrid Protocol and US Copyright Office website. Familiarity with Customs, Cease and Desist, and Domain Name protection/cancellation advantageous, but not a requirement. Excellent organizational, communication skills and strong attention to detail are essential to facilitate the firm's compliance with docketing policies and procedures.
