Job Description Location: Acoma Office COJob Req ID: 15781Join our amazing team and contribute as a:Floating MechanicABOUT THE ROLEAmrize, a leading supplier of quality construction building materials in the United States, has immediate openings for a Floating Mechanic to support operations in the Aggregate Division located in Denver, CO. The qualified incumbent will travel primarily thorough Brighton, Longmont, Greeley, and Littelton,with potential for travel to any surrounding Denver city. This position will be responsible for the diagnosis, repair and maintenance of a variety of plant equipment to include Loaders, Excavators, Haul Trucks, Dozers and more!WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISHTests mechanical products and equipment to ensure proper performance, and compliance with manufacturer's specificationsRepairs and replaces damaged & worn partsOperates and inspects heavy equipment in order to diagnose defectsDiagnoses faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs, using engine diagnostic equipment such as computerized test equipment and calibration devicesDismantles and reassembles heavy equipment using hoists and hand toolsCleans, lubricates and performs routine maintenance work on equipment and vehiclesExamines parts for damage and excessive wear, using micrometers or gaugesSchedules maintenance for industrial machines and equipment, and keeps equipment service recordsReads and interprets manuals, blueprints and technical drawingsAnalyzes information and evaluates results to choose the best solution and solve problemsStays abreast of new technology and methodology through on-the-job training and technical schoolsAdheres to all safety protocol to include confined space entry, lock-out-tag-out, working at heights, wearing appropriate safety glasses, gloves and other personal protective equipment, as well as all OSHA, MSHA requirementAbility to work shifts as requiredOther duties as assignedWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:Education: High school diploma or equivalentHeavy Equipment Operator/ Mechanic experience: 2-3 years minimumHigh attention to detailProblem solving skillsAbility to lift/carry materials of 10-60 lbs.Ability to work in confined spaces without limitationsAbility to lift 50lbsAdditional Requirements:Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
