This role involves performing diagnostic eye tests, assisting with patient care, and maintaining ophthalmic equipment while ensuring an efficient clinical workflow.Responsibilities:Perform preliminary eye exams including visual field testing, tonometry, color vision, and ocular motility assessmentsAssist physicians with patient flow, procedures, and documentationObtain and record patient medical historiesPrepare patients for examinations and proceduresClean, sterilize, and set up instruments for clinical useMaintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot ophthalmic equipment (e.g., slit lamp, tonometer, keratometer)Coordinate lab tests, imaging, and procedure schedulingEnsure exam rooms are stocked and organizedEducate patients on procedures and provide reassuranceAssist with minor procedures, including laser treatmentsRequirements:Prior experience as an Ophthalmic Technician preferredExperience in outpatient or specialty clinic settings preferredStrong organizational, communication, and multitasking skillsAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environmentHigh attention to detail and accuracyEducation:High School Diploma or GED requiredCertifications & Licensure:Ophthalmic Technician Certification requiredFor more details reach at jknox@navitashealth.com or Call / Text at 732-791-4827.
