Job Title: Certified Ophthalmic TechnicianLocation: New York, NYJob Type: Contract (13 Weeks)Schedule:Shift: Day ShiftHours: 5x8-hour shifts (7:45 AM - 4:30 PM)Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per weekJob Summary:We are seeking a skilled Certified Ophthalmic Technician to support ophthalmologists in a fast-paced clinical setting. The ideal candidate will perform diagnostic eye testing, assist with procedures, and ensure efficient patient flow while maintaining high standards of patient care.Responsibilities:Perform preliminary ophthalmic examinations for physician reviewConduct diagnostic tests including visual field testing (central and peripheral), ocular motility, color vision, and pupil assessmentsPerform tonometry, tonography, and related ophthalmic measurementsObtain and document patient medical and personal historyCoordinate patient flow and assist with scheduling tests, imaging, and proceduresPrepare patients for examinations and surgical proceduresCalibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot ophthalmic equipment (slit lamp, keratometer, tonometer, lensometer, etc.)Sterilize and prepare instruments for clinical and surgical useAssist physicians with minor office procedures, laser treatments, and operating room supportMaintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with clinical standardsRequirements:Strong hands-on experience in ophthalmic diagnostic testingProficiency in operating and maintaining ophthalmic equipmentAbility to work in a fast-paced, patient-focused environmentExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsEducation:High School Diploma or equivalent requiredCertifications & Licensure:Ophthalmic Technician Certification requiredFor more details reach at Aditi.sharma@navitashealth.com or Call / Text at 516-587-6677.
