The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining compliance efforts, leading financial, internal, and IT control risk assessments, and providing control suggestions and improvements. This role requires a high level of experience in change management, global business implementations, and the ability to work in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment. The Head of Audit will also be involved in the hiring and development of a team to support the audit plan and goals, and will be expected to have a proactive approach to relationship management with global business counterparts, consultancies, and external audit firms. Applicants for the Head of Audit position at the company must have a BA in accounting, finance, or a similar field, with a preference for an MA or MBA. An accounting certification such as CPA, CIA, or CFSA is required. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years' of experience in an audit function with a global scope, particularly within life and annuity providers. Experience in a co-sourcing environment, building global teams, and upskilling individuals into leadership positions is essential.
