Agile Delivery Manager

Do you thrive on bringing order, clarity, and momentum to complex, enterprise-scale data initiatives?The Agile Delivery Manager provides advanced delivery leadership for the Enterprise Data platform, accountable for ensuring predictable, scalable, and high-quality execution across data engineering initiatives.This role integrates cross-functional priorities across Product, Engineering, Architecture, and dependent technology teams to optimize sequencing, manage enterprise-level dependencies, and balance competing delivery demands. Operating with significant autonomy, the Agile Delivery Manager applies deep expertise in Agile delivery, platform governance, and operational risk management to resolve complex delivery challenges and continuously enhance delivery standards and best practices across the Data function.This role reports to the Director, Technical Services and Architecture and may be based in eligible US jurisdictions.What You'll DoOwn and optimize sprint and release sequencing for the Enterprise Data platform, ensuring alignment across multiple product streams and enterprise technology priorities.Establish and continuously improve Agile delivery standards, governance practices, and performance metrics for the Data platform to ensure scalable and sustainable execution.Lead Agile activities, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.Translate roadmap objectives into actionable delivery plans, user stories, and clear acceptance criteria in collaboration with Product and Engineering.Integrate cross-functional inputs from Product, Architecture, Security, Infrastructure, and external vendors to ensure coordinated delivery across shared enterprise platforms.Monitor delivery metrics, team capacity, and performance trends to drive transparency and continuous improvement.Proactively identify and resolve complex delivery risks, balancing technical constraints, platform stability, stakeholder priorities, and capacity limitations; elevate only issues of highest enterprise impact.Accountable for delivery predictability, capacity planning discipline, and execution transparency across the Data engineering function.Coordinate release readiness and ensure compliance with technology and production standards.Facilitate incident triage and coordinate resolution of production issues impacting the data platform.Maintain accurate tracking and reporting using Agile delivery tools (e.g., Jira).Coordinate integration activities with vendors and external partners to ensure alignment with internal processes and delivery timelines.Contribute to cross-portfolio planning discussions as needed to represent data platform dependencies and delivery considerations.What We're Looking ForBachelor's degree in business, technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.5+ years of experience in Agile delivery, project management, or software delivery environments.Demonstrated experience leading Agile ceremonies and coordinating cross-functional technology teams.Working knowledge of data engineering environments, including data pipelines, governance, quality, and lifecycle management concepts.Experience managing shared platform dependencies across multiple stakeholders or product teams.Strong execution discipline and organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.Demonstrated ability to resolve complex, cross-functional delivery challenges in fast-paced, ambiguous environments, balancing multiple competing priorities and stakeholder demands.Experience establishing or maturing Agile delivery operating models within platform or enterprise technology environments.Demonstrated ability to influence senior technical and product stakeholders without direct authority.Effective stakeholder communication and collaboration capabilities.Proficiency in Agile frameworks and tools (e.g., Jira).Ability to influence outcomes without direct authority.Continuous improvement mindset and commitment to delivery excellence.At CFA Institute, we are committed to transparency and equity in our hiring process. All salary ranges are subject to adjustment based on experience, education, and other factors relevant to the position.
