This role is accountable for shaping and executing strategies that drive divisional performance, operational excellence, and sustainable growth. With deep industry expertise and strong strategic acumen, the President of Construction oversees project delivery, financial performance, and organizational structure while cultivating a high performing, collaborative team environment. Through leadership and innovation, this individual advances Enclave's reputation as a trusted, forward thinking leader in the construction industry.Position InformationPrimary Work Location: Preference will be given to those who are able to relocate and work out of our Fargo, ND or St Louis Park MN Headquarter Offices.Work Environment: On-SiteWork Type: Full-time, ExemptResponsibilitiesStrategic Planning & Business GrowthDevelop and execute long-term strategies and business plans for the construction division in alignment with overall corporate objectives and identify new business opportunities, market trends, and areas for expansionDevelop and implement long-term business plans for new developments, expansions, renovations, etc. that are consistent with the company's strategic plan and financial objectivesOperate as a key member of the Executive Team, collaborating with organizational leaders on the development of Enclave's long-range plan and execution of the strategic roadmapFunction as the internal expert on construction trends, technologies, and best practices, utilizing this knowledge to continuously enhance the company's competitive advantageProject Oversight & DeliveryOversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of construction projects to ensure they meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards while monitoring project progress and addressing any issues that ariseDrive successful project outcomes by supporting realistic cost projections and program parameters from the onset and partnering with the development team in evaluating design schematics and product typeDrive value creation and prevent value leakage across all facets of the construction process including commercial and procurement strategy, programing, planning, design, and developmentFinancial Oversight* Manage and optimize the construction company's financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, financial forecasting, and ensuring profitability on projects* Provide regular reports and updates to the Senior Leadership Team and other stakeholders on the company's financial performance, project status, and other key metricsBusiness Development & Client RelationsLead efforts to identify and secure new construction contracts, partnerships, and clientsMaintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat businessOversee contract negotiations and execution, ensuring compliance and legal contractual obligations related to construction projectsTeam Leadership & Organizational Structure* Provide effective leadership to the construction team, fostering a positive work environment that promotes collaboration, innovation, and high performance* Establish appropriate, integrated organizational structure with defined roles and communication standardsGeneral ResponsibilitiesPerform other duties as assignedAll employees are responsible for the general upkeep of work and shared spacesPunctual and regular attendance is required of all employeesQualificationsBachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, or engineering; master's degree a plus15+ years of professional experience in real estate development & construction with at least 5 years in a senior management or executive leadership roleNational construction experience in commercial or multifamily industries preferred, with experience in the Midwest and Mountain West a plusOSHA 30 Certification required with PMP, CCM, LEED, or PE certifications preferredCompetenciesAdvanced construction expertise across processes, methodologies, regulations, and multiple product typesProven ability to lead, develop, and motivate cross‐functional teams to achieve high performance and operational excellence.Familiarity with multiple construction types, such as residential, commercial, and industrialExceptional communication and interpersonal skills with an executive presence that builds trust and alignment across stakeholders.Strategic business and financial acumen with strong capability in budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and performance optimization.Strong client relationship and business development abilities to secure, expand, and sustain partnerships.Strong ethical judgment and commitment to integrity, accountability, and professional standards in all business practices.Physical EnvironmentThe physical requirements listed here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
