Job Title: Medical Assistant (CMA)Experience: Minimum 2 YearsEmployment Type: Contract (On-site)Position OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and dependable Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) with at least 2 years of hands-on clinical experience to support providers in delivering efficient, patient-centered care. The ideal candidate has strong clinical and administrative abilities, works well in a fast-paced environment, and maintains professionalism and accuracy in all patient interactions.Key ResponsibilitiesClinical DutiesRoom patients, obtain and document vital signs (BP, pulse, temp, respirations, SpO₂, height, weight)Prepare patients for examination and assist providers during proceduresAdminister injections and medications as directedPerform EKGs, specimen collection, and point-of-care testingConduct phlebotomy and proper specimen handlingClean, sterilize, and prepare exam rooms and instrumentsProvide patient education and discharge instructionsMaintain infection control and safety standardsAdministrative DutiesSchedule appointments and verify patient informationUpdate EMR/EHR documentation accurately and timelyProcess referrals, authorizations, and prescription requestsHandle patient calls, messages, and follow-upsMaintain medical records confidentiality (HIPAA compliance)Required QualificationsCertified Medical Assistant (CMA) – active certificationCompletion of Medical Assistant training program / diploma or certificateMinimum 2 years of clinical Medical Assistant experienceCurrent BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)Phlebotomy and EKG experienceProficiency with EMR/EHR systemsStrong communication and patient care skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience in multi-specialty or high-volume clinicKnowledge of insurance verification and prior authorizationsBilingual (preferred but not required)Core CompetenciesAttention to detail and accuracyAbility to multitask and prioritizeTeam collaborationProfessional bedside mannerReliability and punctualityPride Health offers eligible employees comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision plans), supplemental coverage (accident insurance, critical illness insurance, and hospital indemnity), 401(k)-retirement savings, life & disability insurance, an employee assistance program, legal support, auto, and home insurance, and employee discounts.
