Drainage/Flood Control (FE exam passed)Position OverviewThe Drainage/Flood Control Engineer in Training will assist in the planning, design, and implementation of flood control and drainage projects. This role aims to develop engineering solutions that effectively manage stormwater and reduce flood risks while adhering to environmental regulations and sustainability practices.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in the design and analysis of drainage and flood control systemsSupport senior engineers in conducting hydrological and hydraulic modeling using Flo-2D and other softwareParticipate in field investigations and data collection for drainage and flood control projectsHelp prepare engineering reports, technical documents, and project proposalsCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project compliance with local, state, and federal regulationsUtilize AutoCAD and GIS for project design and mapping tasksStay updated on best practices and advancements in environmental engineering and flood control strategiesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with 2+ years of experienceOr Master's degree in Civil EngineeringFE exam passed, EIT certification or in processKnowledge of flood control principles and drainage systemsFamiliarity with hydrology and hydraulics conceptsExperience with Flo-2D and related modeling software - strongly preferredStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsProficient in technical writing and communicationAbility to work collaboratively within a team environmentExperience with AutoCAD, GIS, and environmental engineering principles is desirableBasic knowledge of programming in Python is a plusBenefitsVacation/PTOMedical & Dental - Company pays 100% of employeeVisionBonus - Competitive based on company/department/individual performance401K with company matching
