Details Work in a 35-bed Medical/Surgical unit with an Orthopedic and Neuro patient population Day shift position with a 36- or 48-hour weekly schedule option Patient ratio of 1:6 Telemetry is monitored through a centralized telemetry unit Floating required to units of equal or lesser acuity Block scheduling considered on a case-by-case basis Charting performed in Epic EMR Requirements Active TX or compact RN license required Current certifications required: BLS and NIHSS Minimum 1 year of RN experience required Epic EMR experience required within the last 6 months Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible Additional Information First-time travelers are welcome to apply Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being eligible as a traveler No travel pairs or groups accepted Unit is supported by Patient Care Technicians, Patient Transporters, and a house discharge nurse who floats across all departments A free-floating charge nurse is available on the unit Scrubs of any color are acceptable, but logos are not permitted No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration American Traveler Job ID P-690028.
