Assistant Clinical Manager - Med Surg - Full Time

GENERAL SUMMARY:Under the supervision of the Director / Nurse Manager, the Assistant Clinical Manager assumes both a clinical and management role. This position is responsible to plan, organize, and direct the provision of patient care services within the department. The Assistant Clinical Manager is to assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of budgets, quality improvement programs, staffing levels, goals, objectives, regulatory compliance, and policies within the department. Also, the Assistant Clinical Manager is to assist in the evaluation and discipline of personnel.UNIT SUMMARY:The 6th Floor is a 48-bed Medical-Surgical Unit that provides comprehensive care to a diverse patient population. Our nurses are multi‐faceted professionals who support patients through many phases of care. Patients on our unit are treated for a wide range of diseases, conditions, and injuries, including post‐surgical recovery, acute infectious diseases requiring intravenous antibiotic therapy, and exacerbations of chronic illnesses. We also provide compassionate care and comfort for patients requiring end‐of‐life support.What truly sets our unit apart is our commitment to growth and adaptability. Both new graduate nurses and seasoned nurses are welcomed and supported as they develop knowledge and skills that prepare them to thrive in a constantly evolving healthcare environment.
