Pay: $16.00/hourCafeteria hours Mon-Thu 8:30am-7pm, Fri-Sat 10am-2pm, Sundays and holidays CLOSED.Discount for Lifelong Learning sessionsDiscount at college storeFree meal during shiftFree tuition for self or dependentsFree access to employee assistance resources via Ulliance (mental health, physical wellness, legal and financial guidance, employee discounts, etc.)Free access to gym, fitness center and home sporting events.Employee referral programJOB DESCRIPTION:This position is paid and employed through Edustaff, a staffing agency, but your assignment will be North Central Michigan College.The Line Cook is responsible for prepping the front and/or back line area (keeping all relevant food products available for short order food production), cold order cooking (wraps, salads, sandwiches), prepping the grill, grill cooking (burgers, sandwiches, fries), and customer service at the register.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Arrive promptly to prepare breakfast/lunch/dinner meals.Cook menu items as ordered.Restock the line at end of shift.Plate and serves Cafeteria Specials and Daily SoupsWait on customers with an efficient and affable manner.Accurately process sales transactions and account for sales.Observe all Health Department Regulations in dress and cleanliness.Observes all Health Department Regulations in food safety, preparation, labeling, holding and storage.Observes all Health Department Regulations in sanitation.Takes direction from both the Director and the Assistant Director.Will be required to undertake side work when not busy (cleaning, re-organizing, prepping).MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:High School diploma or equivalentFood service experiencePHYSICAL DEMANDS:Lift up to 25 poundsStand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouchSpeak to customersTaste and/or smellWORK ENVIRONMENT:
