The Spirit Of The PositionThe Assistant Manager will support the Parking Manager in overseeing daily operations of parking facilities at Terminus. This role ensures efficient traffic flow, customer satisfaction, compliance with company policies, and optimal utilization of parking resources. The Assistant Manager will act as a liaison between staff, customers, and management, providing leadership and operational support.Key Responsibilities & DutiesOperational ManagementAssist in managing day-to-day parking operations, including staffing, scheduling, and facility maintenance.Monitor parking equipment functionality and coordinate repairs or replacements as needed.Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.Customer ServiceAddress customer inquiries, complaints, and resolve issues promptly and professionally.Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through proactive engagement and problem-solving.Financial & ReportingSupport revenue collection processes, including cash handling and reconciliation.Prepare and review daily/weekly reports on occupancy, revenue, and operational performance.Staff SupervisionAssist in training, coaching, and supervising parking attendants and other staff.Monitor employee performance and provide feedback to ensure service quality.Compliance & SecurityEnsure adherence to local regulations, company policies, and security protocols.Coordinate with security teams to maintain a safe environment for customers and staff.Special ProjectsSupport implementation of new technologies or systems to improve efficiency.Assist in planning for special events or peak periods requiring additional parking coordinationEducationBachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience desired.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.2+ years of experience in parking operations, hospitality, or facility management.Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with parking management systems.SkillsAbility to seek improvement and create an environment of idea sharing and creative problem solving.Capable of handling employee conflict, following grievance procedures, mediating and conflict resolution.Strong customer service skills and abilities.Ability to be approachable and facilitate coaching conversations with employees and managers.Ability to mitigate and lead others to overcome challenges (Never Ever Give Up Attitude).Ability to encourage open expression of ideas and opinions.Excellent teambuilding and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and multi-task.Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of the organization.Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and standard business practices.Demonstrates a sense of urgency and timeliness.Physical DemandsWillingness to work in the elements – heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.Ability to lift, push and pull at least 25 pounds.Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time.Ability bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift.The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
