About Icon SteelIcon Steel is a structural steel fabrication and erection company in Marana, Arizona. We build ramps, mezzanines, additions, retrofits, and structural steel for commercial work across Arizona.What This Role IsThe Project Manager owns projects from contract award through closeout. You protect the budget, schedule, and customer relationship, and you integrate the work of our Project Engineer, Shop Manager, and Field Superintendent so each project moves as one team.You will own outcomes: did the project hit margin, did it hit schedule, did the customer want to call us again.Who You'll Work With Every DayProject Engineer: drives detailing, drawing QC, technical RFIs, ADA and code compliance. You'll coordinate on engineering scope, design risk, and submittal content.Shop Manager: owns shop production, fab schedule, crew, and QC. You'll coordinate on production status, material flow, and shop hours against budget.Field Superintendent: owns erection planning, field crew, field safety, and daily execution. You'll coordinate on erection sequencing, site logistics, and field problem resolution.What You'll DoRun 4 to 8 concurrent projects ranging from $50K to $2MOwn budget, schedule, scope, and the customer relationship for each oneRun project kickoff and the internal handoff between estimating, PE, Shop Manager, and Field SuperintendentManage submittals, RFIs, pay applications, change orders, and closeoutTrack job cost weekly in Foundation Software and forecast margin monthlyRun the weekly project check-in with PE, SM, and FSRepresent Icon Steel in OAC meetings, progress meetings, and customer escalationsIdentify scope changes the day they happen and get them documented and approvedDrive closeout: punch list, final billing, retention, lien releases, O&M, warrantyWhat We're Looking ForProject management experience in construction or related fieldsSolid understanding of structural steel fabrication and erection, including AISC standardsReads shop drawings well enough to spot problems before the shop doesTrack record of hitting margin and schedule on projectsExceptional communicator, comfortable being the customer-facing face of the companyKnows how to work alongside senior technical and field leads as peersOrganization discipline: writes things down, follows through, doesn't let items slipProficient with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and a project tracking tool (Notion, Procore, or similar)Bonus PointsFoundation Software or similar construction accounting experienceTekla Structures or model review experienceExisting GC relationships in the Tucson and Phoenix marketsEstimating backgroundTools You'll UseFoundation Software (job cost, billing)Notion (project tracking, schedules, RFIs, submittals)Tekla Structures (model review)Bluebeam Revu (drawings, markups, takeoffs)Icon Steel field scheduling appGC portals (Procore, Autodesk Build, others as required)Microsoft 365Why Icon SteelThe PM owns the outcome and gets the authority that goes with it.
